Swaranjali Kids – A Non-Profit Platform for Carnatic Music & Dance
Swaranjali Kids is a non-profit initiative created to share the joy of Carnatic music and Bharatanatyam with children. Our goal is to make classical learning accessible, discipline-driven, and rooted in culture. The platform currently begins with Sahasra Maradani as the instructor, bringing her experience in music and dance to young learners. In the future, more teachers may join this initiative, building a strong community of mentors for kids.
I have been learning Carnatic music for over 5 years and performing at academy programs, concerts, and cultural events. Alongside music, I have been training in Bharatanatyam and will be preparing for my Arangetram in the coming year. My goal through Swaranjali Kids is to pass on what I am learning, and to encourage children to explore discipline, joy, and cultural values through the arts. ( Sahasra has also received recognitions such as the Presidential Service Award (2024), Skipping Stones Youth Award (2024), and winner at the International Dance Festival in Athens (2023). )
